Lettice and Lovage

2004

Written by Peter Shaffer

Quannapowitt Players

A story of friendship between two middle aged history-loving British women, an eccentric historic house docent who spices up history and the Preservation Trust official who is flabbergasted by the docent playing fast and loose with facts.

Stair units that change function and location transform from the Fustian House grand staircase to the single stair leading to Lettice’s basement apartment. The set change itself prompted audience applause every night.

Winner of the EMACT DASH (Distinguished Achievement Special Honors) Award for Best Set and Set Dressing in a Play, 2004.
